Russian troops have changed the tactics of their attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
This
was announced by First Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov during a telethon.
According to him, the Russians are now trying to simultaneously attack both the electricity transmission and distribution networks and directly the generation facilities.
Nekrasov emphasized that
Russia’s new tactics significantly complicate the rapid restoration of electricity supply.
He added that
It takes time to fully stabilize the operation of the energy system.
The official said that the situation with electricity is the most difficult in Poltava, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. In these regions, up to three shifts of hourly outages are in effect simultaneously. In the remaining regions, restrictions are applied in the amount of up to two and a half shifts. According to Nekrasov, the greatest electricity shortage and maximum load on the power system occur in two time periods: from 08:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00.
