Основные положения нормативных и справочных материалов проектирования стационарных трубопроводовBasic provisions of regulatory and reference materials for the design of fixed pipelines

The “Basic Provisions for the Design of Fixed Pipelines” were compiled to facilitate the creation and verification of thermal engineering drawings for pipelines without relying on numerous primary sources. Instead, they provide a much more condensed set of key excerpts, allowing for the completion of these tasks with sufficient skill and reduced time expenditure.

If you need to expand your knowledge of individual sections, it is recommended to refer to the original source.

The “Basic Provisions for the Design of Fixed Pipelines” cover requirements for the design, registration, installation, and testing of pipelines and consist of two general sections and specific requirements applicable to the design of specific process pipelines.

References to the “Basic Provisions for the Design of Fixed Pipelines” in technical documentation are not permitted.

List of pipelines that should be designed using the “Basic Provisions for the Design of Fixed Pipelines“:

Section I – “Steam and Hot Water Pipelines” 11:

  • – steam pipelines;
  • – condensate pipelines (except those specified in paragraphs 1-1-2)
  • – hot water pipelines

Section 11 – “Process pipelines”:

  • – acid, alkali, salt, and their solution pipelines;
  • – boiler acid wash pipelines;
  • – regenerative air heater wash pipelines;
  • – fuel oil pipelines (see also the Handbook on Mav. khoe. TPPs)
  • – oil pipelines;
  • – special-purpose process gas pipelines (except for acetylene-oxygen and natural gas pipelines)
  • – steam and hot water pipelines (to which the provisions of Section I do not apply);
  • – process and circulating water pipelines;
  • – drain, overflow, blowdown, and exhaust pipelines;
  • – raw, chemically treated, and desalinated water pipelines Water.

Section 12 – “Oil Pipelines. Special Requirements”:

  • – oil pipelines of the main building, oil storage facility, and industrial site;

When designing pipelines for natural gas, oxygen, acetylene, hydrogen, and air, the following should be followed:

  • 1. Gas Safety Rules. 1969
  • 2. Guidelines for the Design, Construction, and Commissioning of Gas Pipelines Supplying Natural Gas to District Power Plant Boilers. 1961
  • 3. Guidelines for the Design and Installation of Gaseous Oxygen Pipelines (U-347-00-4)
  • 4. Safety and Sanitation Rules for the Production of Acetylene, Oxygen, and Flame Processing of Metals.
  • 5. Safety Rules for Hydrogen Production by Water Electrolysis. 1970
  • 6. Rules for the Design and Safe Operation of Stationary Compressor Units, Air Ducts, and Gas Pipelines. 1971
