This book covers the structure and management of a coke oven plant, operating procedures at all stages of production (coal preparation and enrichment, startup and shutdown of coal preparation and enrichment shops, coal and pitch coking, coke product recovery, coke oven gas purification, coal tar and crude benzene processing, and wastewater treatment), as well as the operation of auxiliary services (power management, in-plant transportation, repair services, equipment maintenance procedures), and the organization of process control.
A new chapter has been introduced, outlining the rules for commissioning coke oven plant shops and testing coke oven battery equipment, including those with a control system.
The book is intended for engineering, technical, and maintenance personnel at coke oven plants.
