Hot Water Boiler Calculation – Guidelines
This section details calculation methods for: volumes and enthalpies of combustion products and air; heat balance, fuel consumption; verification calculations of the combustion chamber, festoon, and design calculation of the convective bundle for boilers with capacities of 1–100 MW.
Compiled based on regulatory data, formulas, and graphs from the book “Thermal Calculation of Boilers. Normative Method” (1998). These guidelines can be used by students in their graduation projects.
The guidelines for completing course projects and assignments in the disciplines “Boiler Plants and Steam Generators” and “Heat Generating Plants” are prepared in accordance with the curricula for specialties 140104 “Industrial Thermal Power Engineering,” 140106 “Energy Supply of Enterprises,” and 270109 “Heat, Gas Supply, and Ventilation.”
